Hop Latent Viroid is one of the largest issues facing the industry today, and in light of this, safeguarding our gardens, as well as yours, is a matter we approach with utmost seriousness.
You can have full confidence in the clones we offer as they have gone through a rigorous set of SOPs, including regular testing for HLVD and other viroids every 3-4 weeks by multiple laboratories to ensure that the plants and their mothers are clean and remain clean.
HLVd Testing
Due to the pervasive nature and high contagiousness of HPLVD, strict intake, quarantine, and testing protocols ensure the cleanliness and health of mothers, clones, and our gardens.

All genetics we source for our nursery partners and for our own gardens are quarantined in isolation and observed and tested multiple times before we ever let the cultivars out. Once given over to our nursery partners, they follow their own intake protocols which include quarantine and testing before the plants are turned into mothers which are in turn screened for a battery of viroids every 3-4 weeks.

Every 3–4 weeks, PTG screens all the genetics sent to us by our nursery partners (including those from mothers we sourced) using a third-party lab, Tumi Genomics. You can trust that any cut you find on our List of Cultivars has been tested as clean within the last 3-4 weeks either by Tumi or another trusted lab.
